General terms and conditions of Expat Furniture Holland.
All orders are without obligation and can be revoked by Expat Furniture Holland at any time.
The prices stated online include Dutch VAT.
Orders are placed online unconditionally.
When placing the order, the renter pays for the first month's rent, any products that are being purchased and the deposit of € 100.00.
When paying the first month's rent, the renter agrees to the full period of the order. The renter pays monthly rent for the entire period.
The rent will be charged to the renter monthly prior to the month due.
Invoicing takes place via an automatically generated invoice. The renter has the option to pay the rent by bank transfer or a payment link that is sent with the invoice. Via the payment link, it is possible to pay the rent by means of a credit card or debit card.
Payment must be made by the renter within 7 days after the invoice is sent. If the renter does not make the payment within 7 days, a reminder will follow. If the rent is not paid within 5 days after the reminder has been sent, Expat Furniture Holland has the right to charge 15 percent reminder costs to the renter. If the renter is still in default after 30 days, Expat Furniture Holland can start a collection procedure. The costs for such a procedure are borne by the renter. The choice for the collection agency is for Expat Furniture Holland.
In the event of a breach of contract, 50 percent of the amount of the remaining term will be charged. There is a notice period of 1 month and the remaining amount must be paid within 7 days after the final invoice is sent. If the renter does not make the payment within 7 days, a reminder will follow. If the final invoice is not paid within 5 days after the reminder is sent, Expat Furniture Holland has the right to charge the renter 15 percent reminder costs. If the renter is still in default 30 days after the first final invoice is sent, Expat Furniture Holland will start a collection procedure. The costs for such a procedure are borne by the renter. The choice for the collection agency is for Expat Furniture Holland.
Expat Furniture Holland supplies second-hand furniture. By placing the order, the renter is aware that the rented property consists of second-hand furniture.
Expat Furniture Holland strives to deliver furniture in accordance with the photos on the website. Expat Furniture Holland reserves the right to offer an equivalent alternative.
Upon delivery of the rented property, the renter must be present and identify himself with a valid ID.
Delivery takes place at the time, date and location agreed in advance. If the agreed time and date is not possible for the lessor due to unforeseen circumstances, a new time and date will be agreed.
If the rented property (due to size) cannot reach the location of use, this is at the risk of the renter.
The renter must be present at the time, date and location agreed in advance. If the renter is not present, the lessor will contact the renter at the given telephone number. If there is no answer and no presence at the delivery location within 15 minutes after the agreed time, the rented items will be taken back. The lessor will charge € 100,00 for transport costs and will contact the renter to schedule a new appointment.
Expat Furniture Holland is entitled to request a deposit. A credit or debit card in the renter's name is required. The deposit of € 100,00 will be charged at the start of the rental period. If this is not paid, the rented property will not be delivered to the renter.
From the moment of delivery, the rented property and the use of the rented property is at the expense and risk of the renter.
The rented property must be used in accordance with its intended purpose.
The rented property may not be made available to third parties.
The renter is liable during the rental period for loss and damage to the rented property for whatever reason. In these cases, the rent remains due and the replacement value of the goods is also charged.
The renter must immediately report loss, theft or fire to the police and inform Expat Furniture Holland of this in writing. Damage as a result of this is at the expense of the renter.
The lessor is not liable for damage caused to third parties, to their person and/or property and related to the rented property.
The renter must immediately inform Expat Furniture Holland about seizure, bankruptcy or suspension of payment or other matters that damage Expat Furniture Holland's right of ownership. The renter must immediately inform the trustee or administrator of the lease between the parties.
The rented property is not insured by the lessor. The renter can take out insurance at his own expense that covers the above risks.
On expiry of the agreed rental period, on the end date, the renter must return the rented property in the same condition to the lessor in which the rented property was delivered. The renter is liable for any damage to the rented property, other than user damage. If the rented object has to be cleaned due to excessive dirtiness, the lessor can recover the costs from the renter.
Expat Furniture Holland will deduct damage and/or costs that can be recovered from the renter in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions from the deposit. If the deposit is not sufficient, the amount will be charged via subsequent calculation.
The rented item will be collected at the delivery location at the end of the rental period. If the rented property is not available on time, € 50.00 extra rent will be charged for each additional day.
Transport of the rented object to another location during the rental period is permitted. In that case, the renter must inform Expat Furniture Holland in writing.
Expat Furniture Holland is not a moving company. The renter must move the rented furniture at his own expense.
At the request of the lessor, the renter is obliged to provide immediate access to the rented property during the rental period.
Repairs to the rented property may only be carried out by Expat Furniture Holland. The renter may not disassemble the rented property.
The renter can extend the order in writing during the rental period.
The renter can cancel the order without giving reasons during a reflection period of 14 days. Expat Furniture Holland may ask the renter about the reason for the cancelation, but the renter is not obliged to state his/her reason(s). The reflection period starts from the day that the order was placed online. If the rented property has already been delivered and the renter cancels the order within the reflection period of 14 days, the renter must contact Expat Furniture Holland to collect the rented property. The rental fee will be returned. Expat Furniture Holland will charge € 100.00 for transport costs.
Customer data will not be provided by Expat Furniture Holland to third parties.
Dutch law is applicable to all orders to which these terms and conditions have been declared applicable.
